Hollis Sansing
Hollis Sansing (b. 2003) is a photographer born in Berkeley, California and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently Based out of Portland, Oregon.
My practice has been formed throughout my time as a student at Lewis & Clark College. Through the guidance of both of my major departments (Photography & Anthropology), I have formed an interest in construction and production of the world around me. I am focused on how the physical spaces in our world are designed to organize and direct our lives, and how individuals use and care (or don't care) for the places that they occupy. In this, my work is primarily surrounding public space and the understanding of proper or expected behavior formed through spending time in community and in solitude. I continue to be inspired to make by the changing environment and community around me.
